These next few scenes were part of a release that brought back the Super Adventure Box content ArenaNet introduced April Fool’s Day 2013. I was taken to create a story around the SAB, which didn’t have a story outside its tribute to 8-bit gaming. I wrote a backstory the SAB, its creator, and its creator’s former development team. Scene 10: "PAST AND PRESENT 3"

YAVVI
I still think you should give the presentation.
Once we perfect the experiment, of course.
KETTO
But you thought up this next phase.

I know. I just don't feel like standing up in
front of a group of people again. The last time
it happened…

Hmm. The tests are inconclusive.

KETTO
Which means we don't know what's wrong?

YAVVI
Which means we need more testing. Our problem
exists outside of the simulacra we've made.

YAVVI
Times like these, I wish we had an unorthodox
mind like… No, never mind.
thinking out loud, but stopping short because of a bad

KETTO
We don't need him. I can be as unorthodox as he
was. What if…um…I volunteered?

Ketto, we aren't the Inquest. I don't want you
to risk your mental acuity when it's not
necessary.
reviled by the idea. the inquest are a group of scientists
who have no ethics and will torture subjects if necessary
KETTO
I insist. After all, what's science without a
little discomfort from time to time.

Scene 6: "HE'S BACK 2"
A pair of scientists talking about a former colleague who
back in the area, someone who is trouble. This is a cause
for strife.
KETTO
Do you think he knows what he's done?
YAVVI
If you're referring to who I assume you are,
then stop. It’s…draining.
Firm, trying to stop a problem before it starts
KETTO
Aren't you angry at what he did? I thought you
of all people would be agitated, especially
after he——
YAVVI
It was a long time ago. Life goes on; krewes
proceed.
YAVVI
Or something like that.

Scene 3: "THE EXPERIMENT AFTERMATH"
The scientists track down what went wrong and discover their old teammate might be behind it
KETTO
He did it. I know he did.
seething in a nerdy whiny way
YAVVI
Look at the facts. Look at what you can observe
and analyze.

I primed the data strata, balanced the flow
inhibitors, and set the feedback relays to
nominal. It should have worked.
